A Little Mystery, A Lot of Heart: A Moving Statue

 

As a child, I was always drawn to stories. Any book I could get my hands on was enough to spark my curiosity, and that simple love for reading is something I still carry with me.

Recently, I got the opportunity to edit A Moving Statue, a collection of eight stories by Samir Ghoshal, published by Flydreams Publications. Working on the book was a pleasant experience because its stories bring together mystery, adventure, friendship, emotions, and simple life lessons in a way that can appeal to young readers. From the suspense surrounding a mysterious statue in the title story to tales of courage, friendship, animals, teachers, honesty, and loyalty, the collection offers plenty of variety. The simple language and illustrations also make it accessible to children and suitable for readers who are beginning to develop an interest in books.

While a few stories could have benefited from sharper sentence construction and some additional humour in the dialogues, the collection's warmth and sensitivity remain its biggest strengths. I was happy to be associated with A Moving Statue as its editor, and I hope these stories bring young readers the same sense of curiosity and joy that books brought to me as a child. Wishing Samir Ghoshal and Flydreams Publications the very best for the book.

 कहानी कॉलेज लाइफ, दोस्ती, पसंद और रिश्तों के बीच आगे बढ़ती है। कहानी की शुरुआत सृष्टि के कॉलेज में आने और प्रोफेसर राघव से मिलने से होती है। धीरे-धीरे राघव का असर सृष्टि पर पड़ने लगता है और कहानी उनके रिश्ते के साथ कई नए पहलुओं को सामने लाती है।

किताब को पाठकों से अच्छी प्रतिक्रिया मिल रही है। मेरे लिए भी अच्छा लगता है कि जिस किताब के संपादन का हिस्सा रहा, उसे पढ़कर लोग अपनी राय साझा कर रहे हैं। उम्मीद है The Professor Sahab आगे भी और पाठकों तक पहुँचेगी।

पता नहीं कौन सिरफिरे आपकी शहादत के किस्से पढ़ा करते हैं, 100 साल बाद भी आप भारत के बच्चे-बच्चे में जिया करते हैं.... जय हिंद! इंक़लाब ज़िंदाबाद!

जब स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर बच्चों को स्कूल से किसी स्वतंत्रता सेनानी का रूप बनकर आने को कहा जाता है, तो सच कहूँ, बच्चों से ज़्यादा मैं खुद उत्साहित हो जाता हूँ। उनकी मासूम आँखों में देश के लिए गर्व और उनकी टूटी-फूटी ज़ुबान में स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के नारे सुनकर मन खुश हो जाता है। विभव आज शहीद भगत सिंह जी बने हैं। शायद यही वो छोटी-छोटी चीज़ें हैं, जो हमारी अगली पीढ़ी को हमारे इतिहास और हमारे संघर्षों से जोड़ती हैं। हमारे देश ने आज़ादी के बाद कई उपलब्धियाँ हासिल की हैं, लेकिन हमारे सामने आज भी कई चुनौतियाँ हैं। बेहतर भारत की ओर बढ़ने का यह सफ़र और संघर्ष यूँ ही आगे बढ़ता रहे।

एक खौफ़नाक सच से टकराता है -
